The WFA is a family-oriented environment, and fencing is a sport enjoyed by people of all ages. We work cooperatively with parents to ensure their children's fencing experience is very positive, and that the young fencers are challenged and coached according to their individual abilities.
We also have a number of "parents' advocates," parents of established WFA fencers. They help members of the club by sharing their perspectives in our ongoing commitment to improvement and excellence.
In addition, USA Fencing has published a document specifically intended to inform parents about fencing as it pertains to their children. Click here for the information on USA Fencing's web site, as well as several other informative documents you may find of interest.
